So, in my defense, I wasn't at home. My wonderful husband was in charge, and happened to be outside while P. was watching a video, and didn't even notice her hair until I came home that evening. That's how observant he is...
Actually, this works to my favor when I go shopping and overdo it, but again I digress. And he really is wonderful, I wasn't being facetious.
Here she is in all her glory. We'll be going to an actual hair stylist sometime next week to see what can be done. She told her pre-K teacher today that I almost cried, which is mostly true, but also faked to impress upon her that she did something of which I disapproved. Hopefully I made some kind of impression on her brain so that we don't go through this again next year.
I'm thinking if we maybe just keep the bangs, she won't feel the need to snip some more. Argh.
~Traveling to Connecticut for the next couple days,
Happy Thanksgiving!

You know, it's sort of a stylish layered look -- I have to say, not so bad, could have been worse!
i agree i kind of like it!!!
she looks kinda hip with her hair like that :)
lol...My baby girl do it once...
-look mom...curls!
OMG!
XOXO
Thanks for making me feel better. It looks a tad worse from the side. Kind of like she took a pair of hedge clippers...
It's not so bad...I'm sure they could give her a choppy shag cut that would blend it all in and she would look adorable...She's a girl...she was itching for
a 'new look' :) xx
At least she is happy. Just wait till she is a teenager and gets what she thinks is a bad haircut. Oh, the tears will flow then. Then you can whip out these photos and say, "See, you've had worse haircuts!".
By the way, she is so cute, she can pull off any hairstyle. =)
My heart goes out to you. Last year my 5 year old cut the baby's hair right before family pictures. Not only did I cry, but I sobbed when he cut off her beautiful long hair with the baby curled ends.
This makes me laugh so hard (I know, it doesn't help you) BUT deadgum those pictures!!! She is just too cute!! It's just hair...it grows back ;p
I agree that it's kind of hip-- good luck getting it fixed up-- I do think it's kind of cute and she is obviously pretty pleased with her handiwork...
And my postscript-- my husband tossed his used razor blade in the bathroom trash, hidden under dirty diapers. My son was left alone to do his 'bidness. We returned 10 minutes later to the top of his beautiful golden head BALD and a toilet-ful of curls. She who comments last laughs-- well, never. Now I feel your pain. And it hurts!
She's adorable. I'm sure the stylist will come up with some sort of growing-out compromise. Think of it as an excuse to buy/make more cute hair do-dads! (P.S. My MOM did something like this to my hair right before kindergarten pics. She's been grounded from scissors ever since!)
