I was finally productive yesterday! But made close friends with my seam ripper too. I just can't stand it if it's not just right. I love the way the red denim jumper turned out. It's tough too for all those tomboys out there like my little girl, but sweet enough to turn heads. The pocket turned out really well too.

You know when you head to the fabric store with one thing in mind, and wind up with something completely different? That happened to me. I was all set to use an olivey green for the lining of my current project, but wound up with a deep plum. Go figure. Sometimes you just know it when you see it. The modern fans dress is really coming out great. Good for all those that like something a little unconventional. Check back for skorts too, as those are on my to do list.

Hi
I've just discovered your blog, well, actually it's your Flickr photostream I've been looking at..
I'm about to become a Grandma for the first, and only time, next month and I want to make some little-girl-dresses..
Your creations are absolutely gorgeous !!!
Truly !!!
If I can make something that's just half as pretty as the clothes you make I will be everso pleased :)

Are there any shortcuts you can tell me ? or, is it just a 'learn as you go along' thing ?
Did you take leassons ?
Do you have a favourite book ?
Where do you get your inspiration from for your colour matching ?
